Local Property Market Not All Doom and Gloom

Contrary to many doom and gloom headlines in national newspapers and similar, locally the property market remains steady and we are still experiencing healthy buyer demand for all types of property.

In many ways the statistics, number of new listings, number of sales agreed etc are at very similar levels to those seen in the pre-covid market of 2019 & early 2020, and a return to a more normal market than we have seen for the past 18 months or so.

In fact, we could argue a return to a more normal market, is generally a much better market for local buyers & sellers (those that were looking to buy again, at least!) - local buyers previously faced a tough market and often got outbid but cash-rich buyers from out of the area, chosen as the preferred buyers as they were often chain or mortgage free.
